  •  Temperature requirements: Most lasers require a constant temperature environment of 20 °C to 30 °C.Temperature fluctuations cause the internal components of the laser to expand and contract, change the length of the resonator cavity,and affect the stability of the output power and wavelength.Air conditioning system is recommended to ensure constant ambient temperature.
  •  Humidity requirements: Environmental humidity should be controlled between 40% and 60%。Excessive humidity will make the optical lens condensation,absorb laser energy lead to film damage,or even cause high voltage circuit short circuit;It is easy to produce static electricity and damage electronic components if it is too dry.
  • Key point: Stable temperature and humidity is the basic guarantee to prevent the laser from”sweating “(condensation)or”fever”(overheating).

Requirements 3: Power Supply is “Pure” and Output is Stable

  • Voltage stability: Voltage fluctuation should be controlled within±5%,severe voltage fluctuation may directly damage the power module and pump source.
  • Low ripple interference: It is recommended to equip a regulated power supply or an isolated transformer to filter out sharp pulse and noise interference.
  • Independent grounding: It must be equipped with a reliable and independent grounding wire . The grounding resistance is generally required to be less than 4 ohms.This is not only the guarantee of personal safety but also the basis of equipment anti-interference operation.

  • Cooling water requirements: Water-cooled lasers must use purified water,and conductivity and temperature must be monitored regularly.Poor water quality can cause corrosion,scaling,blocking the water cooling channel,affecting the heat dissipation effect.
  • Environmental heat dissipation: The water-cooled unit or air-cooled system itself also needs a good heat dissipation environment to ensure that its inlet and outlet are unobstructed and there is no accumulation of debris around it.

  • Keep away from interference sources: try to keep away from strong interference sources such as high-frequency generators and high-power radio equipment.
